Service description

Sugar Patrons provides managed introductions between founders seeking business funding and women investors. We review applications, personally approach prospective investors, and facilitate introductions when there is mutual interest.

Application and engagement

Submitting an application does not create an engagement. We review applications and decide whether to accept each engagement. If accepted, we communicate our terms before any payment is required.

The service period of 3 calendar months begins when your accepted engagement starts with successful payment, not when you submit an application or first visit the website.

No guaranteed outcomes

We facilitate introductions. We do not guarantee that any investor will invest in your business, that introductions will occur, or that any particular outcome will result. Investors make their own independent decisions. You decide whether to accept any offer made to you.

Fees

Our fee structure is as follows:

• Upfront payment: Between 0.2% and 0.5% of the requested funding amount, agreed before payment.
• Success fee: 3% of investment capital actually received.
• Upfront credit: The upfront payment is credited toward the success fee; it is not an additional charge.

Refund policy

If no investment capital is received within the 3-month service period, the entire upfront payment is refunded. An introduction, meeting, expression of interest, letter of intent, or signed term sheet alone does not constitute receipt of capital.

What counts as receiving investment

“Receiving investment” means actual capital has been transferred to your business. Verbal commitments, written expressions of interest, or signed documents without accompanying funds do not trigger the success fee.

Applicant responsibilities

By applying, you represent that:

• You are legally an adult where you reside
• You are authorized to discuss funding for the business described
• The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge
